Lars Jensen started his work on EU tenders back in 1999 working as a COO for a Medical Device company. During his tenure with the company he handled more then 70 EU tenders while achieving and above average success rate. Since 2015 Lars Jensen has worked with EU tenders as owner and consultant of Bid2Tender. At Bid2Tender Lars Jensen have handled over 150 tenders granting him a considerable expertise, when dealing with tenders from a large variety of industries and businesses.
He has been part of EU tendering, since its humble beginning and has together with both tenderer and contracting parties contributed to secure that bidding, tender and reality can coexist. Thus, he has been part of the development of an EU tender business and knows the ins and outs of the system, even today with the newly reformed Danish law on tendering: The Udbudslov, which have provided many changes in Danish public procurement practices
During his time in public procurement, Lars has taken part in his share of complaints with both the Danish Competition authority and The Board of Appeal for Tenders. The complaints have helped the process of improving and clarifying the selection criteria of tenders within industries. Moreover, Lars successfully started a collaboration between an industry’s contracting parties, ensuring tenders became better suited for trading between the companies and the public procurers.
When the industry had agreed on the terms for collaboration, to improve the tendering procedures, Lars Jensen was able to propose and initiate the procedures for the creation of an IKA focus group. Thus, ensuring the industry’s ability to further collaborate with public buyers for the improvement and optimization of tenders. The procedure took approximately a year and the process resulted in three sets of tender materials, which Lars Jensen successfully incorporated a long list of demands into, that benefits the final product users and their service. Demands that are often neglected in the public tendering procedures.
Lars Jensen’s educational background comes from his Master of Science in Engineering and Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, which he applies for the optimization of Bid2Tenders procedures while using his extensive experience as the driving force for Bid2Tenders services.
Lars Jensen’s experience with IT and quality control, have resulted in the construction of a specialized software. The software has become and integral part of Bid2Tender ensuring both the security and efficiency of the company’s processes, as well as optimizing Bid2Tenders Tender Search Services. Thus, the software has helped develop the consultancy solutions of Bid2Tender and today ensure the high standards of all Bid2Tender services.
